Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.”

FACES I GRACES

Annette Louise Solakoglu pays hommage to twelve longtime Philipstown, New York residents by sharing their inspirational visions through intimate portrait photography and storytelling. The personal accounts accompanying each portrait were distilled from extensive interviews conducted by Solakoglu and writer Celia Barbour.

The exhibition provides an opportunity to observe the faces of our older generation. These intimate, close-up studies allow for contemplation, revealing the depth of character of each individual. Solakoglu’s affection and reverance for each of her subjects are what makes the images so compelling.
